GLP Peptides Changed My Life
I want to be real with you—no hype, no BS. This is MY journey… I’m not presenting myself as an expert. I’m likely just like you… curious… interested… and I’m smart enough to do my own research, but humble enough to know that I don’t know everything… but I’m learning every day.
A while back, I stepped on the scale and it read 290 pounds 😳.

290 Pounds
That number hit me in the gut (pun intended), but not as hard as what came next. I bent down to tie my shoes and had to stop and take a deep breath first. That was the moment I realized just how far I’d let myself go. I wasn’t just heavy—I was unfit. No stamina, no cardio, no self-respect in the mirror. I was embarrassed. Not just by how I looked, but by how I felt. Heavy, slow, foggy, weak.
That was my wall. And I hit it—hard.
No doctor gave me a prescription. No jacked trainer whispered secrets in my ear. I just made a decision: I wasn’t going to live like this anymore. I was done making excuses.
The Turning Point
I started doing what anyone desperate and curious would do—I researched everything.
I dialed in my food. I started moving. I restructured how I thought about discipline. And eventually, I came across a category of compounds called GLP-1 receptor agonists—what I now call GLP peptides. They weren’t the start of my journey with peptides (I first used BPC-157 and TB 500 to heal my dislocated knee), but they were a major accelerator that helped me finally stay consistent and see the progress with my fat loss that had always felt just out of reach.

236 Pounds
So, What Are GLP Peptides?
Let me break it down as simply as I can.
GLP stands for glucagon-like peptide-1—a hormone your body naturally produces in the gut. When you eat, GLP-1 kicks in to help regulate blood sugar, signal fullness to your brain, and slow down digestion so you stay satisfied longer. It was first used to help people with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar, but researchers quickly noticed an unexpected side effect: patients were losing a lot of weight. That discovery opened the door. Scientists figured out how to replicate and enhance the effect through peptides—what we now call GLP-1 receptor agonists. These compounds help regulate hunger, quiet food noise, and improve insulin sensitivity, making them incredibly effective tools for fat loss.
And yes—it works.
You’re not hungry all the time. You feel fuller faster. You stop thinking about food every 10 minutes like some carb-addled maniac. You start gaining control.
But Let Me Be Very Clear…
This isn’t some miracle injection that melts fat while you Netflix and chill. That’s fantasyland stuff.
If you don’t move your body, if you don’t eat right, and if you’re not intentional about keeping your muscle—you’ll lose the wrong kind of weight. And believe me, muscle is what keeps fat off long-term. Without it, you just become a smaller, weaker version of your old self.
For me, GLP peptides weren’t the whole story—they were just one part of the equation. I also stacked in GH-releasing peptides (Tesamorelin or CJC-1295 stacked with Ipamorelin) to help retain and build lean mass (along with MANY other positive effects). I lifted weights. I kept my protein high. I trained with purpose. That’s how I lost fat and got stronger at the same time.
Real Talk: Motivation Is a Fragile Thing
You know what sucks?
Working hard for weeks—maybe months—and seeing zero difference in the mirror or on the scale. That’ll kill your motivation faster than anything. And for most people, that’s exactly where they give up. Story of my life…
GLP peptides helped change that for me. Because when the hunger is finally manageable and the fat starts to actually come off, the results show up fast enough to keep you going. You get traction. You feel like it’s working—because it is.
And then something happens that fuels you like nothing else ever could:
Someone sees you for the first time in months and says,
“Whoa. Dude… how much weight have you lost?”
Later on, when you’ve lost even more fat and packed on some lean muscle, you run into them again—and their jaw drops. You get that second look. That… “DAYUM”!!!
That feeling right there? That keeps you going.
There is no better fuel than being seen in your transformation. That’s the moment you realize all the hard work is showing up, and no one can take that from you.
The Peptides I Used — In Order
There are a few different GLP compounds out there now, but I stuck to the main three. I don’t use the pharma brand names here because I don’t want to trigger the SEO gods or bring unnecessary attention from big pharma. So here’s how I refer to them:
GLP#1 was my starting point. It worked well to kill the constant hunger, but I did deal with some nausea early on. I had to learn to eat slower, stay hydrated, and be patient.
GLP#2 took it to another level. It added something called GIP agonism, which helped my insulin response and made the process smoother. Less side effects. Better energy. More weight came off. I made the most progress with this, but have recently moved over to…
GLP#3 is the beast. It adds glucagon receptor activation (helps keep your metabolism up) to the mix and has shown insane results in clinical trials—possibly the most powerful fat-loss compound ever developed. But it’s strong. You’ve got to respect it. For me, it wasn’t a casual add-on. It was a surgical tool.
Want to see the data? Here’s a solid clinical trial summary on GLP#3.
Is This Stuff Legal?
Depends on how you define that.
Yes, GLP peptides are prescription medications… in the pharmaceutical world. But there’s also a research-only space where compounds are legally sold not for human consumption (don’t be scared by this), for use in “studies”.
That’s where I sourced mine. And if you want to understand more about how people are doing this—and the risks and responsibilities involved—I’ve created a guide to the gray market here.
I’m not telling you to use these. I’m just telling you what I did. You decide your own risk.
What I Did (And Still Do)
Here’s what’s worked for me, in a nutshell:
- I use GLP#2 as my base fat-loss tool.
- I stack with Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin for GH support and muscle protection. In addition to muscle benefits, GH focuses on visceral fat reduction, collagen production for skin, and supports bone density. GH is simply awesome.
- I train with intensity, 4–5 days a week. And boy, is it a heck of a lot easier now that I’m 50# lighter.
- I prioritize protein, shooting for ~1 gram per pound of goal weight.
- I hydrate, rest, and drink less (alcohol kills momentum). GLP seems to have slowed my cravings for alcohol as well… another positive benefit, from my experience.
- And most of all—I stayed consistent.
This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about staying in the game long enough to win.
Final Thoughts
If you’re sitting where I was—frustrated, out of shape, discouraged—I get it. I’ve been there. It’s hard.
But if you’re ready to stop lying to yourself and start showing up consistently, GLP peptides might be the edge you need to finally break through.
Just don’t forget:
- You still have to eat right.
- You still have to move your body.
- You still have to protect your muscle.
- You still have to earn it.
GLP peptides aren’t a shortcut. They’re just a tool. But if you use them wisely, they may be able to unlock a version of yourself that feels lighter, stronger, and more alive than you’ve felt in years.
That’s not hype. That’s my story.
And I’m still just getting started.
